Part-Time Morning Receptionist available at York Country Day School beginning December 5, 2016, and ending at the close of the school year. Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m.– 12:45 p.m., during academic sessions only. Hourly rate based on experience.
Receptionist interacts with all constituencies of the school and greater community, often serving as the first contact and the “public face” of the school. The Receptionist is expected to support the decisions of the School, refrain from gossip, and conduct him/herself with courtesy and discretion when interacting with all members of the school and community at large.
- Greet visitors and issues visitor passes
- Check phone messages
- Take all incoming calls and quickly direct them to the appropriate person
- Maintain sign-in and sign-out sheets for faculty and students
- Maintain class schedule notebook for students, faculty
- Coordinate distribution of student messages
- Collect emergency book and sign out sheets during Fire Drills
- Assist with other tasks involving communication throughout the school
- Other duties as assigned
High School diploma and Receptionist experience required. Patience, reliability, flexibility, enthusiasm and experience working with school-age children are a must.
