As a certified FIRST Robotics Instructor, Liz coaches the GearHounds and mentors students in the engineering philosophy of test and re-test. Liz Charleston, Director of Robotics and Engineering, brings almost 20 years of experience in science and robotics education to her new position. She is a founding coach and coordinator for our YCDS FIRST robotics teams, the Cyber Hounds and Gearhounds, and is a FIRST Certified Teacher Trainer who mentors new FIRST robotics coaches and teachers across the country. She is eager to further develop our robotics and engineering program as well as enhance and expand our course offerings. In her free time, Liz plays women's soccer and enjoys reading, photography, and scrapbooking. She is the mother of Carson (grade 9) and Brandon (grade 7).
