• Greyhound Summer Camp (Grades K-6)

  Week of June 1 - week of August 3 (10 weeks)

  8 00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

  Before care begins at 7: 15 a.m.

  Extended day until 5:30 p.m.

  $330 week/ $395 with extended day options

  
  

   Greyhound Summer Camp Information
  

  • Enrollment is based on the student's grade as of September 1, 2025 (Example: Ending 1st grade will register for 1st grade)
  • 12:1 student, counselor ratio
  • Weekly themes and field trips
  • Swimming on Fridays at Green Valley
  • Program fees include a nutritious lunch and snacks
  • Drop-off is 8 a.m. and pick-up is 4 p.m.
  • Before care and extended care is available starting at 7:15 a.m. and ending at 5:30 p.m.  for an additional fee
  • Register for 4 or more weeks at one time and receive a 10% discount on the weekly program fee
  • Register a sibling for 4 or more weeks at a time and receive an additional 10% discount on the weekly program fee
  • After June 1, 2026, any cancellation or absence of any week from camp will still be charged the full billable amount

• Preschool Summer Programs

  Camp Fairy Tales

  Ages 3-5 
  
  

  This camp will be filled with imaginative play. The children will become princesses, princes, knights, dragons, and other characters involved in the fairy tales that will be read. The boys and girls will play games together, create art, listen to many stories, and participate in a couple simple cooking projects.

  Pirate Week

  Ages 3-5
  
  

  The children will have fun with a variety of pirate themed activities. They will talk and dress like pirates, participate in music and movement activities, create art with different materials, and even go on a treasure hunt.   Carnival Camp  

  3-5 years old 

  
  

  The children will be immersed in a carnival-like atmosphere with games, prizes, music, balloons, and treats. The boys and girls will use their creativity in making some of the carnival games, and will also participate in a cooking project.   Camp Out

  3-5 years old 

   

  Does your child love the great outdoors? In this session, preschoolers will transform the classroom into an indoor campground. The children will work together to create a campfire in the block center, go on nature walks around the school yard, play games, pretend to fish, make crafts, and learn about forest animals and insects. We will also make s’mores as a snack. Each day, we will read stories and sing songs by the campfire.

  Dinosaur Camp

  Does your child love dinosaurs? In this dinosaur summer camp, preschoolers will learn all about fossils, dinosaurs, paleontology, and more through hands-on experiments, activities, and imaginative play. The children will engage in dinosaur digs to unearth fossils, create their own salt dough fossils, and learn to identify different dinosaurs. Throughout the week, your child will make dinosaur crafts, play games, read books, and move their bodies like dinosaurs with music and movement activities.

  First Lego League - Digging Deep!

  Grade 4th-8th

  
  

  The exploration of the earth and the artifacts buried beneath it creates a perfect challenge for aspiring engineers. Join the YCDS FTC teams - the Gearhounds #9242 and the Hackin' Hounds #21234 - in tackling tasks that will simulate what engineers consider when designing equipment to search below ground in the quest to understand our history.

   

  Using the LEGO SPIKE Prime platform and the engineering design process, campers will build and program customizable robots that will recover artifacts, explore ancient tools, analyze buried structures, excavate ground layers, flag dig sites, and more. Students will learn and practice navigating to specific locations, collecting and moving materials, and identifying the environment with sensors. Basic programming skills will be highlighted, introducing new programmers to computer science. 

   

  Creativity, perseverance, and teamwork will be celebrated and encouraged. 3-2-1 LEGO!

  Get ready to jam, create, and rock out! Join us for a week-long music camp where students will learn ukulele, bucket drumming, classroom instruments, and singing—all with a rock-and-pop twist!

  
  Campers will explore their favorite songs, build new musical skills, work as a band, and bring lots of energy and creativity to the stage. From strumming to drumming to singing loud and proud, everyone will have a chance to shine!

  Creative Clay Creations Art Camp invites young artists to dive into the world of clay sculpting, where they’ll spend five mornings shaping both functional and decorative pieces. Using techniques such as slab, coil, and pinch sculpting, they’ll bring their ideas to life with unique textures and forms. 

  
  Artists will learn essential handbuilding skills and glazing techniques, exploring surface finishes, colors, and textures to enhance their creations. This camp combines creativity and skill-building, providing a rich foundation in the art of clay.

  Calling all young creators! Join us for a week-long music camp where students become real songwriters. Campers will explore how songs are built—learning about song structure, catchy melodies, chord progressions, and lyric writing.

  
  Throughout the week, students will work on writing their very own original songs, turning ideas into music and words into the next chart-topping hit! From brainstorming to performing, campers will collaborate, create, and discover their musical voice.

  Pack your imagination as we take an artistic trip across the globe! Students will learn about different cultures by creating art inspired by countries and traditions from around the world. 

  
  Projects will stay simple and fun, such as paper weaving inspired by African textiles, easy Japanese koi fish mobiles, Mexican papel picado–style cutouts, Aboriginal dot-art animals, and Scandinavian folk-art flowers. 

  
  Along the way, students will explore color, pattern, and storytelling while discovering how different cultures use art to share ideas. This is a perfect workshop for curious young artists who love exploring the world through creativity.

  Lights, camera, action! Your ideas come to life in this beginner-friendly stop motion workshop. Students will learn how to create their own mini movies using toys, paper cutouts, clay characters, and drawing while using the stop motion app on the iPad. 

  
  They will design simple sets, draw out their animation ideas, and photograph their scenes frame by frame. No prior experience is needed, just imagination. By the end of the week, each student will have a collection of short animations they created themselves.
