  York Country Day School seeks an experienced and innovative full-time elementary teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching elementary-aged children, knowledgeable of childhood cognitive developmental needs and appropriate practices, well-versed in child-centered learning, and capable of creating an environment that fosters a love of learning. The individual selected will be expected to motivate, assess, engage, and develop student learning while managing the routine daily activities of fifth grade students.

• Middle School Math Teacher - Long-Term Substitute

  York Country Day School seeks a dynamic and dedicated Math teacher to join the faculty as a long-term substitute during a portion of the 2024-2025 school year.
  
  Beginning two weeks prior to the start of the associated teacher’s leave of absence, the long-term substitute teacher will teach courses in Math for grades 6 and 7. The approximate start date will be in October 2024. Exact start and end dates will be determined closer to the service window.  The assigned courses are Math 6th and Pre-Algebra. 
  
  The ideal candidate will connect well with students in each age group. Interested candidates should have expertise in 21st century learning within the classroom and knowledge with meaningful learning experiences for students. The teacher will be called upon to advise students and fulfill other duties as assigned.  All teachers are expected to be involved in the life of the school and participate in school events.

• Part-Time Assistant Girls Varsity Basketball Coach

  This position reports to the Head Coach and Director of Athletics. This assistant coaching position and all of the duties of the position must be conducted in adherence with the policies, rules, and regulations of York Country Day School and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA).
